Another Thing I Do

Last year on 4 June 2014, I started taking and recording "A Photo a Day".  So easy to do with a camera phone. Except do you remember you were going to do it?  Not always until . . . you put a reminder in your phone.  Every day my phone tinkles a reminder at 1645. Often I've already taken one, but if I haven't, I take one wherever I happen to be.  If I forget entirely, this is what goes into the spot where the day's photo should be. 

If I take one at the time the reminder goes off, it often looks like this.

Many times the pictures were taken first thing in the morning. Looking out of windows or on a walk.  I love morning.

Often as not there will be photos of my pets. Sophie, Zeke, Zorro and Eddie.  They live with me an so are always available for pics.

My thought was to do this for one year and then print them out in wallet size and make an album.  Recently I printed out some.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any album pages for 2x3 size photos.  I didn't want to the paste them in or use photo corners because I want to make a note of the date and a little description on the back.  It's been fun and funny and interesting.

We're having stormy weather this weekend, but it's a good thing. California needs rain.  This morning there was a lovely sky.

Off On An Adventure

I am leaving for another great Road Scholar program with my grandson, the fabulous Charles.  This is our third one.  It is called Intergenerational Hollywood Film School.  For five days we'll learn with other grands and kids what is involved in producing a film.  Our drive will take about 6 hours to Glendale, California.

Our first trip was also to southern California.  We went to Buena Park for a wonderful program about crime scene investigation which they don't seem to have any more.  Too bad it was fascinating.

Last summer we went to Oregon for photography.   I did write a post about this last year, but here are a couple more pics from that one.

Not my Computer

Oh, no, not my computer.  But it's true, my computer is dead.  This is the one I've had for years that had all my photos and all my music on it.  Computer doctor son-in-law is coming to have a look at it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be computer shopping very soon.  Since I have very few photos on this , my laptop,  I'll see what I can do to make it worth your stopping by today.

Besides sewing knitting, quilting, beading, reading and acting in musicals, I also enjoy photography.  I think I have shown some photos from my trip to Astoria, Oregon with my grandson.  Here are a couple more.

 We went to this bunker which was built in WW1 and used in WW2.  We were there in the evening.  I liked this stairway.  It led to the top of the bunker which is why there is light there.

Under the Astoria-Megler Bridge.  We were walking back from dinner.  This is a scarey, wonderful bridge.




I'm off to a 3 sister's get-away.  We're meeting up in Cayucos, California.  We're going to stay right on the beach and be senior beach bunnies.  When I say senior I mean it.  Stay tuned, there may be photos.
